MOPA Pulsed Fiber Lasers

MWTECHNOLOGIES Pulsed Fiber Lasers are based on a MOPA (Master Oscillator Power Amplifier) architecture that uses proven subsystems and proprietary laser pulse generation, triggering, gating and ASE suppression techniques.

The laser incorporates real-time stabilization, control electronics and firmware that continuously monitor and optimize laser operation.

 


Optical Fiber Amplifiers (YDFA, EDFA)

MWTECHNOLOGIES single-mode optical fiber amplifiers can be of single or double stage configuration to provide amplification solutions for a broad range of applications. Operating at the wavelength bands of 1µm and 1.5µm, either PM or non-PM, provide high saturated output power, high gain and low noise figure.

MWTECHNOLOGIES OEM single-mode amplification modules include drive and temperature control electronics. Benchtop intrument version is also available.

 


ASE Optical Sources

MWTECHNOLOGIES broadband or narrowband optical sources are based on Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) from a diode-pumped Yb-doped or Er-doped fiber. Operating at the wavelength bands of 1µm and 1.5µm, either PM or non-PM, these sources deliver high spectral density in the specified wavelength range.

MWTECHNOLOGIES OEM ASE modules include drive and temperature control electronics. Benchtop intrument version is also available.

 


Laser Diode Controller

MWTECHNOLOGIES compact Laser Diode Driver (cLDD) is a compact all-in-one unit designed for convenience of use, and combines a user interchangeable mount for a laser diode, SLED, SOA or similar device, a current driver and a TEC controller, all in a self-contained enclosure. This product includes a USB port and a software control application with a graphical user interface (GUI) for real-time device monitoring, control and data logging.

The cLDD is used with either a 14-pin butterfly mount (provided with Type I, Type II and custom pin out routing boards) and/or a DIL mount.

 


Laser Diode Pulsed Drivers

MWTECHNOLOGIES Pulsed Driver is a board level analog pulse laser diode driver, ideal for driving high power 14 pin butterfly packaged laser diode modules with TEC. The driver is implemented as an AC coupled high gain current amplifier with 50ohm terminated input. The board includes TEC controller and a bias-T with a constant current driver for applying bias current to the laser diode.

MWTECHNOLOGIES Laser Diode Constant Current Driver (LDCCD) is a board level constant current laser diode driver with fast settling, overshoot free analog PID control, ideal for driving high power multimode pump diode modules in pulse pumping applications. The driver is offered in two power ranges: one up to 2.5A and one up to 12A.
